Called in an order for pick up. We got orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable lo mein noodles, and egg rolls. The portions were nice and big for a family. The food was soooooo good and fresh. The Thai tea was perfectly sweet and creamy. The lady who answered the phone also was accommodating as I mentioned my husband was going to be there in 20-25 mins as he was shopping at Walmart. Definitely have to go back and we plan to dine in next time :) PS. Our pictures are after we served ourselves just to show the portion size

Craved Chinese food after work & stumbled upon Golden Valley for the first time. Ordered over the phone & got the orange chicken lunch special. My food was fresh & hot, very yummy. Cool girl on the phone & nice lady who checked me out. Will be back thanks

The food was so good! The chicken was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, full of flavor. The portion sizes were insane, I've never bought $40 worth of food and taken it home before. The service was lovely, they were super nice, super respectful and even boxed our food up for us?? WHAT. Give this place a try, at least once, way better than any Panda Express meal you'll ever have.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was excellent! The restaurant staff were very pleasant and performed their duties quickly and efficiently. Their prices were fair. I will definitely come again. You get a lot of very good food, served quickly and efficiently in a friendly atmosphere.

We love supporting small, local restaurants—and this place truly deserves it. The woman up front was so sweet and welcoming, both to us and everyone else who walked in. We watched her carefully and kindly help an older couple box up their leftovers, which just showed how much she genuinely cares. Our takeout order was fresh, fast, and delicious. Everything was packed with care, and the whole experience made us want to come back—not just for the food, but for the warm, community feel. Highly recommend!

I was really impressed by how fresh everything tasted—the vegetables were crisp, the proteins were cooked perfectly, and the flavors were well-balanced. It’s hard to find a place where the food feels both hearty and clean, but this restaurant nailed it. Definitely a new favorite spot!”

My friend and I went to different Chinese food places in the area, but they had all closed early. I remembered this one because of me doing Door-dash. It's kinda tucked away in a dead shopping center, so it's hard to miss. The service is as fast as it can be because there are only two people working, one cooking and one in FOH, so I can't take stars off because they are doing their best. Now the food was great, we both got different fried rice dishes and man was it plentiful both of our plates could have fed separate families and the price wasn't too bad for the amount you get. My only gripe with the food would be just a little more salt to add more flavor, but other than that, it was fantastic, we had plenty of food enough for food for tomorrow. I'll definitely be back since it's so close to my apartment, and since the portion size is so large.

I'm usually not one to write reviews but I feel like this place deserves one. I visited for the first time on Sunday for lunch with my family and I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't expect to find such a hole in the wall but the service and food made me wish I discovered this place sooner. We ordered the house fried rice, orange chicken, shrimp egg foo young, and a few egg rolls. All the food tasted spectacular and the portions were absolutely huge, we even had enough to take home to feed the kids for another day haha. Our waitress Christine was so attentive and friendly (and we found out she was a uofm student! GO BLUE!!), she checked up on us multiple times making sure everything was perfect. Overall, this place is fantastic and our family's new go to Chinese restaurant. We'll be back soon to try more of the menu!!
